Hi, I'm Jalen! I'm a student at the University of Nottingham reading an MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering, also worth mentioning that I hold a bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering.
Here are a few facts about me: I'm trilingual (French, Mauritian Creole, and English), I have worked as a maths and physics replacement teacher after my A-levels teaching students between Grade 7 and Grade 12, I love watching and playing sports, and I never give up once I am given a challenge or task.
I come from a teaching background, where my mother is an English teacher and my grandfather was a lecturer in Mathematics and Data Communication. As so, I've learned a lot from them, and have dedicated over 4 years so far to helping my students excel!
See you in class!
- I practice martial arts, mainly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Thai Boxing.
- I play golf, with a 17 handicap
- I swim for my university team
- I picked up skydiving as a new hobby in 2022
